How far in advance should you book your wedding photographer?

It’s best to book your wedding photographer 9–12 months in advance, especially if you’re getting married during peak wedding season (spring through early fall). Popular dates and venues often book up quickly, and photographers who specialize in wedding or city hall photography may only take a limited number of weddings each month to ensure quality.

If you’re planning a smaller wedding, elopement, or San Francisco City Hall ceremony, you might have more flexibility, but I still recommend reaching out as soon as you have your date confirmed. Booking early gives you peace of mind, locks in your preferred style, and allows time to plan engagement photos, timelines, and creative ideas together.

If your wedding is coming up soon and you haven’t booked yet, don’t worry, sometimes last-minute dates are available. But in general, the sooner you secure your wedding photographer, the better your chances of getting the one you really want.

• Online gallery delivery: You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints.

• Engagement session (optional): Many packages include or offer the option to add an engagement photoshoot, perfect for save-the-dates and getting comfortable in front of the camera.

• Second photographer (on select packages): For bigger weddings, a second photographer ensures more angles, more candid shots, and full coverage of your day.

• Planning support & peace of mind: From timeline guidance and location ideas to outfit recommendations, I’m here to support you before and during your wedding. On the day itself, I’ll be by your side making sure everything runs smoothly so you can relax, feel confident, and fully enjoy the moment.

Do you offer payment plans for weddings?

Yes, I offer flexible payment plans for wedding photography. Most couples prefer to split the total into three parts: a retainer to secure the date, a second payment before the wedding, and the final balance due shortly before your big day. This makes the investment more manageable and gives you peace of mind knowing everything is scheduled and taken care of.

Will you help with posing and direction on the wedding day?

Absolutely! Most couples aren’t used to being in front of the camera, and that’s completely normal. On your wedding day, I’ll gently guide you with posing, prompts, and direction so you feel comfortable, confident, and natural in your photos. My approach balances candid moments with subtle direction, helping you look your best while still keeping things authentic and fun.

Whether it’s guiding you through romantic portraits, organizing family group shots, or encouraging those in-between moments of laughter and connection, I’ll be there to give you peace of mind and full support throughout the day. What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Rain on your wedding day doesn’t mean your photos are ruined—it often makes them even more romantic and memorable. If the forecast calls for rain, I’ll help you plan ahead with backup indoor or covered locations and suggest creative photo ideas that work beautifully with umbrellas, reflections, and dramatic skies.

I always bring weather-ready gear and flexible timelines so you can feel confident no matter what happens. Some of the most stunning wedding photos I’ve taken have been on rainy days—it adds atmosphere, intimacy, and a unique story to your gallery. My priority is making sure you feel supported and relaxed so the weather becomes part of the magic, not a stress point.

Do you travel for weddings and destination celebrations?

Yes! I happily travel for weddings and destination celebrations. Most of my couples are based in the Bay Area, and I regularly photograph weddings within 2–3 hours of San Francisco, including Napa Valley, Carmel, Big Sur, Carmel by the Sea, Sacramento and beyond.
